This scope is a great entry level unit offering 130mm aperture which is enough for planetary and brighter deep space objects under a dark sky. The EQ mount offers an easy to use experience and has fine adjustments for easy tracking of the object once located. Comes with a 3-year warranty.
This is my first telescope and so far its great, learning how to use EQ mount was tricky at start but eventually I got used to it
Ive only had it for a little bit so far, but had at least one successful run, (bad weather) nevertheless the scope performed perfectly. I was able to observe the Moon and Jupiter with great precision, aside from slight body movement interference (due to being on a deck and not solid unmoving ground). I should also note that this may be my first telescope but I bought it knowing and understanding all/most of the theory behind telescopes, I suggest that you do the same if not a little bit before purchase. Pro's: -Strong mount/easy to use. -Good lenses/mirrors. -Straightforward instructions/assembly. -Very smooth slow mo controls making it easy to follow objects in the night sky. -Due to simple but strong design easy to fix any minor mishaps. -Great budget starter scope without auto tracking. Con's: -Fully assembled can sometimes be difficult to move around (18kg). -Quite large, depending on your environment may be difficult to store somewhere. Conclusion: Overall fantastic starter scope, very pleased with purchase, staff are very helpful/fun. Can expect me to be buying from them again.
