About this product
The Skywatcher 7Ah Rechargeable Power Tank is a portable battery system for powering smaller telescopes and mounts. This rechargeable system offers two cigar socket ports, giving out 12v each and two USB ports, both giving out 5v at 1.5A.
In addition to these features, the Skywatcher 7Ah Rechargeable Power Tank is also a powerful 30 LED torch and features a smaller, less powerful red filtered torch to minimize disturbance to night adapted vision.
Note: this product is same as the Celestron version.
The Skywatcher 7Ah Rechargeable Power Tank is a multi-purpose Rechargeable Power Supply ideal for use with Sky-Watcher SynScan, Syntrek, SupaTrak, AllView and Virtuoso mountings, and computerised telescopes of other brands requiring a 12V DC power supply. Also useful camping accessory device.
Important notice: although a centre positive cigar socket power cable comes as standard with this device, please check if your telescope comes with a suitable cigar socket lighter connection cable. Many powered Skywatcher and Celestron telescopes come with a suitable cable as standard.
Users of Meade telescopes are directed to purchase the BC023 Power Lead 5m Cigar Type cable as some Meade scopes use a different connection.

The power pack seems fine but I was disappointed when unpacking it that it had plug in adaptors for USA, UK and whatever but none for NZ. I had to visit J Cars to get an adaptor so I could charge it. If it is sold in NZ for use in NZ it should be sold “ready to go”.
Sorry about that, to our surprise these came from the factory like this and we have since corrected the issue.
