This scope provides amazing optical images which allows you to gauge depth of a specimen.
This scope is wildly used to study the surfaces of solid specimens or to carry out close work such as dissection, microsurgery, watch-making, circuit board manufacture or inspection, and fracture surfaces as infractography and forensic engineering.
The Achromatic objectives really allow you to get detailed, 3Dvisualizations.
This is a brilliant little scope. Very simple, excellent light source which provides lighting from above, below or both. I will definitely use Jacobs again if I want to purchase a higher power magnification.
