Astrophotography Made Simple

Traditional astrophotography can require a telescope, mount, guide system, camera, controller, filters, power supply and processing workflow. The Seestar S30 Pro simplifies that into a portable all-in-one device controlled from your phone or tablet.

For Beginners Choose a target in the app, let the Seestar locate it, track it and start capturing. It removes much of the setup normally required for deep-sky imaging.

4K Dual-Lens Imaging

The S30 Pro uses two imaging systems: a telephoto astronomy camera for deep-sky and solar system work, and a wide-angle camera for Milky Way, star trail, constellation and scenery shooting. Both lenses can capture 4K stills at 1x magnification.

The S30 Pro is not limited to one type of target. It is designed for deep-sky imaging, wide-field Milky Way work, solar system captures and daytime scenery.

Stargazing Uses the telephoto lens for deep-sky objects such as nebulae, galaxies and star clusters. Select a target and let the Seestar GoTo and track.
Milky Way Uses the wide-angle lens for wider sky scenes, Milky Way captures, star trails, time-lapse and constellation-style compositions.
Solar System Designed for solar system targets such as the Moon, Sun and planets. Always use the solar filter for safe solar viewing.

App Control with Automatic GoTo & Tracking

The Seestar app handles the control workflow. Once connected, you can choose a target, start GoTo, track the object, view the live image, capture photos or video, and apply supported image enhancement tools.

First activation requires an internet connection. After successful activation, the Seestar creates its own Wi-Fi hotspot for normal control, which can be useful in remote areas without cellular coverage.

Built-In Filters for Cleaner Results

The S30 Pro includes an internal filter system to suit different targets and imaging conditions. This is especially useful for customers shooting from suburban skies where light pollution can reduce contrast.

Solar safety: never point the Seestar S30 Pro at the Sun without the supplied solar filter correctly fitted. Direct solar viewing without the proper filter can damage the device.

Equatorial Mode Support

The S30 Pro supports both Alt-Az and Equatorial Mode. Alt-Az mode is the simplest way to start, while Equatorial Mode is designed to counter Earth’s rotation, improve longer-exposure tracking and reduce field rotation.

Alt-Az Mode Best for simple setup. Recommended for first-time use and general smart telescope operation.
Equatorial Mode Helps compensate for Earth’s rotation and can improve deep-sky imaging results when correctly set up.
Accessory Note Additional accessories are required for Equatorial Mode. Use Alt-Az mode for the easiest first setup.
