Trade-in your old gear

We accept trade-ins on telescopes, binoculars and spotting scopes. Put the value of your current gear toward your next purchase, or as Gift Cards to spend whenever you are ready.


How does it work?

The process is simple –

  1. Bring it in or send it to us Visit our retail store with your item, or courier it to us. For a rough estimate send us the product name and photos – the final trade-in value is confirmed once we have the equipment in hand.
  2. We assess the item Our team inspects and values the product. The inspection may be instant in-store, or take up to 1–4 working days.
  3. You get a trade-in price We'll let you know what we can offer for your gear, with no obligation to proceed.
  4. Apply it to your new purchase or Gift Cards The trade-in value is deducted from the price of your new product or converted into Gift Cards to spend whenever you're ready.

We currently accept trade-ins on the following equipment.

Please note: Mid- to high-end items hold their value better than lower-end items, but we will consider any item that meets our trade-in policy. On select products, we may choose not to offer a trade-in.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to inspect a trade-in?
We inspect and value trade-ins Monday to Thursday and Saturday. The inspection may be instant or take 1–4 working days, depending on the item.
Do you give cash or store credit for a trade-in?
The trade-in value is deducted from the new product purchase price or issued as a Gift Card – unfortunately, we're unable to offer cash payouts.
How do I get the item to you for inspection?
You can either bring it into our retail store in person, or send it to us by courier. Our showroom address is on our contact page.
What do I need to include if I'm sending it in?
Include a note with the item containing your name, email and phone number so we can get in touch once we have received the item/s.
Who pays for shipping?
You are responsible for the cost of shipping the item to us, as well as any return shipping if you decide not to proceed with the trade-in.

Before you send your gear

  • Take clear photos of the item from multiple angles
  • Note the brand, model name and any included accessories
  • Include a note with your name, email, and phone number
  • Pack the item securely — you're responsible for any damage in transit
  • Keep your tracking number until we confirm the item has arrived
