Vanguard VEO IV 82A 25-60x82 Angled Spotting Scope
Authorised Dealer
Birding at the shore, spotting at the range, even planet-gazing—the powerful 25-60x82 VEO HD IV Spotting Scope from Vanguard is a versatile optic with premium glass for a bright, clear view. Employing Hoya extra-low dispersion glass with seven layers of antireflective coating, this scope provides a sharp image even at peak magnification. And while it is ideal for terrestrial use, its combination of magnification and objective lens diameter makes this spotter ideal for beginner astronomers, delivering views of the moon and larger planets, with the ability to survey the night sky for comets or to view constellations.
The chassis is made of lightweight, corrosion-and expansion-resistant composite carbon fiber. The chassis is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging even in extreme weather and temperature conditions. The angled-viewing configuration sets the eyepiece at a 45° angle to the scope's body, and its built-in Arca-type mount base makes attaching to a tripod easy as pie.
- Powerful 25-60x zoom eyepiece allows you to make detailed observations and identifications at extreme long range
- Oversized 82mm objective lens helps to ensure views remain bright and clear, even when viewing subjects at long range on maximum magnification and in challenging light conditions
- Seven-layer fully multicoated Hoya extra-low dispersion glass
- Phase-coated BAK4 prism
- Ideal as a starter telescope for lunar and planetary viewing and surveying constellations
- The eyepiece is set at a 45° angle to the optical tube, placing the user's head in a comfortable viewing position whether standing, sitting, or lying prone
- Large focusing wheel with dual controls ensures tack-sharp views, even while wearing gloves
- Twist-up rubber eyecup for comfortable use with or without eyewear
- Arca-type mounting base for quick attachment to tripods
- Carbon fiber chassis is strong and lightweight to help offset the weight of the large objective without sacrificing stability
- Chassis material is resistant to corrosion and the thermal expansion that can cause optical components to move out of alignment over time and prevent you from being able to achieve sharp focus
- Optical tube is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging in extreme conditions
- Extendable sunshade prevents flare
