More light. More time behind the glass.Diamondback HD 10×50
Built for hunters and wildlife observers who want 10× reach with extra low-light headroom, the Diamondback HD 10×50 pairs large 50 mm objectives with a practical 5.0 mm exit pupil. The true open-hinge body keeps the larger format easy to grip, while rubber armour, sealed all-weather construction and the included GlassPak™ harness prepare it for long sessions in the field.

See the Diamondback HD platform in the field, from its streamlined true open-hinge handling to the optical and protective features designed for repeated outdoor use.
Large-objective performance for longer glassing sessions.
The larger 50 mm barrels give the 10×50 more low-light potential than smaller-objective formats, while the true open hinge still leaves room for a secure wraparound grip. At 30.0 oz / approximately 850 g, it is a substantial full-size binocular designed for deliberate glassing when image brightness and viewing comfort matter more than minimum carry weight.

The included GlassPak harness keeps the binocular protected, close and ready to deploy.
HD optical system
Clarity where detail matters.
The HD optical system uses select glass elements to improve resolution, control chromatic aberration and preserve colour fidelity. Fully multi-coated air-to-glass surfaces and coated roof prisms then work to retain useful light, contrast and fine detail through the optical path.
Fully multi-coatedAnti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces increase transmission for greater clarity and low-light performance.
Dielectric prismsMulti-layer prism coatings support a bright, clear and colour-accurate image.
Phase correctionRoof-prism phase coating enhances resolution and contrast where fine structure matters.
ArmorTek®An ultra-hard exterior-lens coating helps resist scratches, oil and dirt.
The optical system combines select glass, full multi-coating, dielectric prism coating and phase correction to preserve useful image information through the roof-prism path.
Objective diameter and light
A larger 50 mm objective gives the 10× system more light to work with.
The second number in 10×50 is the objective-lens diameter in millimetres. At the same magnification and with otherwise similar optical efficiency, a larger objective intercepts a wider bundle of incoming light. That extra collecting area is most useful as ambient light falls, while the 5.0 mm exit pupil gives the eye a larger delivered light bundle than a 10×42 or 10×32.

Larger objective → larger geometric collection area, all else being similar
Illustrative geometric comparison only. Approximate areas use the nominal objective diameter and πr²; they are not measured transmission figures. Real-world image brightness is also affected by optical efficiency, magnification, exit pupil, ambient light and the viewer’s eye pupil.
Field of view
105 metres of terrain at 1,000 metres.
A 6.0° angular field gives the 10×50 a useful balance of reach and surrounding context for scanning open country, following moving wildlife and settling into longer observation sessions.
Controls and connection points
Fast, familiar control.
A central focus wheel, right-eye dioptre and adjustable eyecups make everyday setup intuitive, while the concealed front socket accepts a compatible binocular tripod adapter.
Move keyboard focus to a numbered marker, hover it with a pointer, or tap it on a touch screen to reveal the corresponding part name.
1Twist-up eyecups
Raise for viewing without glasses or collapse for most spectacle wearers.
2Centre focus
Moves both optical channels together for fast near-to-far focusing.
3Right dioptre
Balances the right channel to the viewer’s eyesight across a ±4 range.
4Open hinge
Adjusts the 60–75 mm interpupillary distance and gives the fingers a secure hold.
5Strap lugs
Accept the comfort neck strap or GlassPak tether straps supplied in the box.
650 mm objectives
Give the 10× optical system a 5.0 mm exit pupil and greater low-light potential than smaller-objective 10× formats.
7Adapter socket
Remove the front cap to fit a compatible Vortex binocular tripod adapter.
Field handling
More low-light headroom for deliberate glassing.
The 50 mm objectives increase the amount of light the optical system can intercept and produce a 5.0 mm exit pupil at 10×. That makes the 10×50 especially well suited to dawn, dusk and overcast observation where a larger objective can be worth the extra size and 30.0 oz / approximately 850 g carrying weight.
True open hingeReduces bulk and creates a natural wraparound grip.
15 mm eye reliefAdjustable eyecups support a comfortable, full viewing position with or without glasses.
Rubber armourTextured external protection supplies a durable, non-slip hold in changing conditions.
Tripod adaptableAdd a compatible adapter for extended glassing, vehicle-window use or a steadier view.
All-condition construction
Built for changing conditions.
Argon-gas purging and O-ring sealing support waterproof and fogproof performance, while shockproof construction, rubber armour and ArmorTek® exterior-lens protection are designed for the knocks, temperature swings and changing weather of regular field use.
Waterproof
O-ring sealing is designed to resist harsh weather and prevent moisture from entering the optical system.
Fogproof
Argon-gas purging helps prevent internal fogging through wide temperature changes.
Shockproof
Rugged construction is designed to withstand the impacts and knocks that come with outdoor use.
ArmorTek®
The ultra-hard exterior-lens coating helps protect against scratches, fingerprints, oil and dirt.
Personal setup
Tune the binocular to your eyes.
Set the eyecups, barrel spacing and right-eye dioptre once for a comfortable view, then use the centre focus wheel for normal near-to-far focusing.
Set eyecups and spacing
Extend the eyecups when viewing without glasses or collapse them for most eyewear. Pivot the barrels until the two views merge into one clean circular image without dark edge shadows.
Focus the left channel
Choose a detailed object about 20 yards / 18 metres away. Cover the right objective or close the right eye, then use the centre wheel until the left-eye image is sharply focused.
Calibrate the right dioptre
Cover the left objective or close the left eye. Turn only the right dioptre until the image is sharp, then note its position. Normal focusing can now be handled with the centre wheel alone.
GlassPak™ included
GlassPak™ included for secure carry.
The supplied GlassPak binocular harness carries the larger 10×50 securely against the chest for quick access and improved comfort over extended use. Adjustable shoulder straps distribute the load, while binocular tethers add security against accidental drops when moving through the field.
