With the ZEISS SFL binoculars (SmartFocus Lightweight), special moments can be easily experienced. Optimized to be as lightweight and compact as possible, the SFL binoculars are a perfect addition to the SF family. The new Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) Concept ensures true-to-life colour reproduction and the highest level of detail. Thanks to its SmartFocus Concept, the focus wheel is perfectly positioned and enables fast and precise focusing – even with gloves on. The optimized ergonomics and a large exit pupil allow for a relaxed and undisturbed viewing experience.
With a field of view of up to 140 meters at a distance of 1,000 meters and the closest focusing distance of 1.5 meters, the SFL 8x40 delivers a perfect overview combined with precise detail recognition.
The lens diameter has been reduced by 2 mm, making it possible to use thinner lens elements at closer spacing and thus reduce the binoculars’ weight by up to 20% and their volume by up to 13% compared to the ZEISS Victory SF models. As a result, the SFL binoculars are up to 30% lighter than comparable products from competitors.

New ZealandZeiss Victory SFL 8x40 Binocular from Jacobs Digital
These are fantastic binoculars for bird watching. My wife and I spend a lot of time enjoying spotting, identifying and observing birds in New Zealand, Australia and many other countries. She has a very old pair of Zeiss inherited 30 years ago from her uncle which are still excellent. My binoculars have been cheap and nasty, so I decided to upgrade prior to a birding trip to Costa Rica. These Zeiss Victory SFL 8x40 are just amazing! They have a wider field of view and let in much more light, allowing me to find and see details of birds lurking in dark places behind branches. I had read that you never regret spending a lot on a good pair of binoculars and that holds true with these. The Zeiss Victory gives me huge pleasure with its fantastic clarity and sharpness and I can use them either with or without my glasses on. Fabulous! I truly appreciated the good advice given by a very knowledgeable. very tall gentleman in the store. One happy customer :)
