Book a 1-on-1 photography lesson with us and learn how to get the most out of your camera and other photography concepts. All lessons are taught one-on-one and use a hands-on approach rather than theory — because having fun is the best way to learn.

Each lesson is tailored to what the student would like to learn and improve upon — and any level is welcome, from total beginners to enthusiasts looking to sharpen specific skills.

We require you to book at least a few days in advance so we can schedule a time that suits you and prepare for the topics you'd like to cover.
What you can learn
Lessons are fully tailored, but here are some of the things students commonly want to cover:
- Getting off auto — understanding aperture, shutter speed and ISO
- Composition fundamentals and finding strong shots
- Using your specific camera's settings and menus with confidence
- Low-light, indoor and night photography
- Portrait, landscape, or street photography techniques
- Tips for editing and getting your photos print-ready
What to bring
- Your camera (DSLR, mirrorless, compact — whatever you own)
- Any lenses you'd like to use or learn about
- A charged battery and a memory card
- Comfortable shoes — we'll be walking around Birkenhead
- A list of questions or topics you'd like to cover
Where we meet
All lessons start and finish at our retail store in Birkenhead. From there, we'll head out into the local area to put what you're learning into practice in real-world conditions.
