Is it safe to order online?

We understand that the safety of your personal information is extremely important to you. We use a wide array of electronic and physical security measures and devices to protect your personal data and credit card information from unauthorised access.
Jacobs Digital follows accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We use state-of-the-art data encryption technology to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of your user information. Secure Socket Layers (SSLs) encrypt the information sent between your computer and our database.
We use full SSL everywhere on our website, not just at the checkout. Every page of our website uses the latest https with full SSL certificates.
What payment methods do you accept?
Jacobs Digital accepts all major credit cards such as VISA, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Q Card, PayPal, payment over the phone and bank transfer. We also offer finance options via Gem, Laybuy, Afterpay and Harmoney.
Please provide the correct billing information for the card being used. Billing information includes name, address and phone number of the card owner as recorded by the bank or card issuer. If using a shipping address that is different than the billing address, please provide a phone number for the shipping address.
Once your payment is processed you will instantly receive an order confirmation email. When your order is dispatched from our facility you will receive another email containing your tax invoice. This tax invoice includes all the required information about your order, billing details and GST.
Do you carry products in stock?
Yes! Unlike our competition such as online only websites who drop ship from A to B, we carry New Zealand's largest selection in stock. This ensures stock availability and fast delivery times. If you're not sure about a product, please feel free to call or email us.
Can I return an item?
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping fees can be seen prior to checking out, and will vary based on your order's weight, size and your address. Typically small items will be $7.50 within Auckland, as an example. We offer free shipping nationwide for all binoculars.
Do you repair optical equipment?
Yes we do! And we have been for over 30 years. Please bring your equipment into our retail store for inspection as we unfortunately often cannot quote prices online as every repair is different.
Can I try before I buy?
Absolutely. We have the best range of binoculars and spotting scopes in the country, as well as other gear, that you can try at our Auckland showroom.
Are your products covered by official NZ warranties?
Of course. We don't deal in parallel imported products, so you have the peace of mind of the manufacturer's full warranty period. Since we deal with locals, it's often fast to get your product repaired or replaced.
