We understand that the safety of your personal information is extremely important to you. We use a wide array of electronic and physical security measures and devices to protect your personal data and credit card information from unauthorised access.
Jacobs Photo & digital follows accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We use state-of-the-art data encryption technology to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of your user information. Secure Socket Layers (SSLs) encrypt the information sent between your computer and our database.
We use full SSL everywhere on our website, not just at the checkout. Every page of our website uses the latest https with full SSL certificates.
What payment methods do we accept?
Jacobs Photo & Digital accepts major credit cards VISA, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Q Card PayPal, Payment over the phone and Bank transfer.
All credit card transactions are processed though Payment Express.
Please provide the correct billing information for the card being used. Billing information includes name, address and phone number of the card owner as recorded by the bank or card issuer. If using a shipping address that is different than the billing address, please provide a phone number for the shipping address.
Once your payment is processed you will instantly receive an order confirmation email. When your order is dispatched from our facility you will receive another email containing your tax invoice. This tax invoice includes all the required information about your order, billing details and GST.
Do you carry products in stock?
Yes! Unlike our competition such as online only websites who drop ship from A to B, we carry New Zealand's largest selection in stock. This ensures stock availability and fast delivery times. If you're not sure about a product, please feel free to call or email us.
Can I return an item?
For the first 60 days after your purchase you may return merchandise for a full money back refund, excluding any shipping charges. All returns must meet our guidelines.
Returned or exchanged products must be un-opened, in brand new, mint condition, and have all original manufacturer’s packaging, materials, and accessories, including instruction booklets, packing inserts, and blank warranty cards.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is dependent on location, Rural status, weight and size of the product. It's free for all binoculars and cameras nationwide. For a large telescope for example, you could expect $30, for a small package to around Auckland, it could be as little as $7.50. All shipping costs are displayed at checkout after you enter your address.
Do you repair optical equipment?
Yes we do! And we have been for over 30 years. Please bring your equipment into our retail store for inspection as we unfortunately often cannot quote prices online as every product is different.
Can I try before I buy?
Absolutely. We firmly believe in trying before buying as seeing is believing. Make the trip over to our store and try as many different binoculars as you want. We have an amazing view for you to enjoy and all the top brands and models on display. It's the same for Spotting scopes and other items that are able to be demonstrated.
Are your products covered by official NZ warranties?
Of course. We don't deal in parallel imported products so often you will find the warranty period to be fantastic. Since we deal with locals, it's often fast to get your product repaired or replaced.
