Renowned Nikon Optical Performance
Large 50mm Objective Lenses
The large objective lenses provide excellent light-gathering capability and resolution, helping deliver bright and dynamic views across a wide range of outdoor conditions.
Versatile 10× Magnification
Ten-power magnification provides a useful balance of long-distance detail, field coverage and handheld stability for general-purpose nature and outdoor observation.
Dielectric Prism Coating
Nikon's dielectric high-reflective multilayer prism coating increases light transmission through the roof prisms for brighter images and natural colour reproduction.
Phase-Correction Coating
Phase-correction coating helps preserve resolution and contrast through the roof-prism optical system, producing a sharper and more clearly defined image.
Fully Multilayer-Coated Optics
All lenses and prisms are multilayer coated to improve light transmission and provide bright, clear viewing in varied environmental conditions.
Oil- and Water-Repellent Coatings
Protective coatings on the objective lenses and eyepieces help resist fingerprints, dirt and moisture, making the exterior glass surfaces easier to keep clean.
Comfortable and Built for the Outdoors
Waterproof and Fogproof
O-ring seals and nitrogen gas filling provide waterproof performance to a depth of 1 metre for up to 10 minutes while helping prevent internal fogging during temperature changes.
Long 19.3mm Eye Relief
The long-eye-relief optical design helps provide a clear and comfortable field of view, including for many users who observe while wearing glasses.
Multi-Click Eyecup Adjustment
Turn-and-slide rubber eyecups feature multiple click positions, making it easy to place your eyes at the correct eyepoint for comfortable viewing.
Locking Dioptre Ring
The dioptre adjustment ring can be locked after setup, reducing the risk of your preferred adjustment being changed accidentally during use or transport.
Lightweight 630g Construction
A fibreglass-reinforced polycarbonate resin body helps keep the binocular lightweight despite its large 50mm objective lenses.
Protective Rubber Armour
Rubber armouring offers shock resistance and provides a firm, comfortable grip when observing in wet, cold or demanding outdoor environments.
Central Focusing System
The conveniently positioned central focusing wheel allows fast, intuitive focus adjustments when moving between subjects at different distances.
Tripod Adaptable
The binocular can be attached to a tripod using the optional Nikon TRA-3 tripod adaptor for stable viewing during longer observation sessions.
Ideal For
Large-Objective Performance Without Excessive Weight
Weighing approximately 630g, the PROSTAFF P7 10×50 combines the brightness and resolution of 50mm objective lenses with a comfortable body designed for practical handheld observation.
