Swarovski Optik · NL Pure 42 · Green
One with the moment.
The NL Pure 10x42 brings long-range detail into an exceptionally wide 133 m field of view. SWAROVISION optics, 91% light transmission and a sculpted ergonomic body make it a powerful all-round binocular for open country, mountain hunting and demanding wildlife observation.

SWAROVISION optics
10× detail without tunnel vision.
A 7.6° true field and 70° apparent field place the subject inside a broad, natural-looking viewing window. Field-flattener lenses maintain sharp contours toward the edge, while premium lens and prism coatings support high contrast, colour fidelity and dependable low-light performance.
10× long-range detail
Resolve distant structure, horn tips, feather detail and terrain features with the reach of ten-power magnification.
133 m field of view
See 133 metres across at 1,000 metres—399 feet at 1,000 yards—for faster searching and easier tracking.
42 mm / 91%
A versatile 42 mm objective and 91% light transmission deliver a bright image without the bulk of a larger objective.
2.0 m close focus
Move smoothly from near subjects at 2.0 metres to infinity, with 18 mm eye relief for a comfortable full view.
Pure perspective
Designed around what you see.
The compact roof-prism system and narrowed central body reduce visual distraction and hand fatigue. The result is a binocular that feels less like equipment and more like a direct connection to the landscape.
The NL Pure family is shaped for a secure, natural grip during extended observation.
A broad viewing window makes it easier to search broken mountain terrain and retain context.
High transmission and faithful colour support confident identification in changing light.
Optional FRP forehead rest adds a third contact point for steadier viewing.
Premium 10x42 observation performance in a balanced, weather-sealed magnesium body.
Large field of view
Keep the whole scene in sight.
At 10×, the NL Pure still delivers a true field of 7.6°—133 m at 1,000 m. That breadth makes it quicker to find a subject, easier to follow movement and simpler to retain environmental context.
The 70° apparent field creates an immersive image in which the edge of the viewing circle is barely perceptible.

SWAROVISION
Sharp, high-contrast and faithful to colour.
Field-flattener lenses support edge-to-edge definition, helping fine structures remain legible across the image. Fluoride-containing HD glass elements reduce colour fringing, while SWAROTOP anti-reflective lens coatings and the SWAROBRIGHT prism system maximise transmission and colour fidelity. SWARODUR adds a durable protective coating to exposed optical surfaces.
The payoff is a neutral, detailed view that stays useful in difficult light—from first light in the hills to the final minutes of evening observation.
Ergonomic wasp waist
Made to disappear into your hands.
The narrowed central body and oval recess between thumb and forefinger create a naturally secure hold. A balanced magnesium chassis keeps the 42 mm binocular composed in the hands, while the large central focusing wheel remains easy to reach without shifting grip.
For extended glassing, the optional FRP forehead rest can create a third point of contact and reduce small movements—particularly useful at 10×.
Built for real weather
Mountain-ready construction.
A compact magnesium housing, protective rubber armouring and inert-gas filling make the NL Pure ready for changing temperatures, heavy rain and demanding field use. It is submersion-tight to 4 m and specified to operate from −25°C to +55°C.
4 m tightness
Sealed against water ingress to a submersion depth of 4 metres / 13 feet.
Inert-gas filled
Internal gas filling helps prevent internal fogging through sudden temperature changes.
−25 to +55°C
Specified functional temperature range for winter mornings through hot summer conditions.
Magnesium housing
A rigid, premium chassis combines structural strength with practical field weight.
Fit and viewing comfort
Adjust it precisely to you.
Four eyecup positions, generous eye relief, independent diopter correction and a broad interpupillary range make it straightforward to obtain one clean, shadow-free viewing circle.
18 mm eye relief
Generous exit-pupil distance supports comfortable viewing, including for many spectacle wearers.
56–74 mm IPD
Adjust the hinge spacing until the left and right images merge into one circular field.
±4 dpt
Independent diopter adjustment compensates for differences between the viewer’s eyes.
Four eyecup positions
Fully in, fully out and two intermediate stops help place the eyes at the correct distance.
Controls and connection points
Everything where it should be.
The numbered markers now stay locked to the binocular image at every screen size. Hover a marker, move keyboard focus to it, or tap it on a touch screen to reveal the corresponding part name.
Move keyboard focus to a numbered marker, hover it with a pointer, or tap it on a touch screen to reveal the corresponding part name.
1Twist-in eyecups
Use the four positions to set the correct eye distance with or without glasses.
2Diopter adjustment
Balances differences between the left and right eye, with a defined zero position.
3Focusing wheel
Moves smoothly from the 2.0 m close-focus distance through to infinity.
4TAs connection
Accepts the optional Swarovski TAs tripod adapter for supported observation.
5Strap connector covers
Protect the side connection points when the carrying-strap fittings are removed.
642 mm objectives
Gather light for a versatile 4.2 mm exit pupil and 91% light transmission.
7Ergonomic open bridge
Creates the NL Pure’s characteristic waist and gives the fingers a natural, secure hold.
Start with the eyecups and interpupillary distance, then calibrate the diopter. These settings establish the complete viewing field and keep both eyes sharply focused.
1. Set the eyecups
Without glasses, twist counterclockwise fully out. With glasses, twist clockwise fully in. Use either intermediate stop if it gives a cleaner full field.
2. Set eye spacing
Move the binocular halves at the central hinge until both fields merge into one circular image with no dark shadows around the edge.
3. Calibrate the diopter
Focus the left eye with the main wheel, then keep that setting and use the diopter control to sharpen the image for the right eye.
4. Focus near to far
Turn the central focusing wheel to move continuously from the 2.0 m minimum focus distance through to infinity.
5. Manage the lens covers
Pull the objective covers down for viewing. They can be removed and the supplied filler pieces inserted when an uncovered front end is preferred.
6. Attach the carrying strap
Seat the strap-loop connectors securely in the side fittings and check both connections before carrying the binocular in the field.
