About this product
The Skywatcher 12.5 Illuminated Reticle Eyepiece is designed for situations where you need precision guiding and alignment for your telescope. Whether you’re aligning your GoTo telescope to a bright alignment star or calibrating your auto guider’s tracking, this eyepiece is perfectly suited to both tasks.
The eyepiece use Plossl optics that minimizes aberrations. The double cross hair is illuminated with an adjustable red LED that helps you maintain night vision. Power for the illuminator is provided by a small watch battery.

Perfect. Wish I’d purchased one months ago
Very good tool for accurate telescope alignment. Black coating on inside of eyepiece collar is inclined to come off and get on inside surface of eyepiece. I removed the coating with turps and repainted with matt black model paint. OK now.
